The Career Guidance & Counselling Certificate helps K–12 educators build strong, inclusive guidance and career education practices. Learn how to design and improve school-wide guidance systems and targeted supports for diverse learners. Drawing on current research, policy, and global trends, this program prepares you to advance equitable, student-centred guidance and career education in your own context. 

Learning in this program is collaborative and practice–focused. You will work alongside educators from a range of different roles and settings, share ideas, and apply new strategies directly to your work. 

By the end of the program, you will be ready to support equitable access to pathway planning and help students achieve positive academic and career outcomes.

Program Format

Courses in this program are hosted on Quercus, the University of Toronto’s Learning Management System (LMS). They are fully online and asynchronous, with optional synchronous sessions. Each course is facilitator-led and paced into modules with specific assignment due dates.
