This year, the recipient of OISE CPL’s Award of Excellence is Dr. Noah Lazar. Noah is a clinical psychologist who has practiced at various inpatient and outpatient psychiatric clinics before transitioning to private practice. He is the co-founder of The Downtown Psychology Clinic, Adjunct Lecturer with the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto, and is also a long-standing OISE CPL facilitator.
Noah joined the CPLx team in 2014 and has been one of the primary facilitators for the Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Fundamental Skills course. Through the years, he has experienced changes in OISE CPL leadership, policies, and procedures, yet his commitment and dedication to OISE CPL and its learners has never wavered. When the pandemic began, Noah worked alongside the OISE CPL team to transform the course experience and transition to a fully online delivery, and he embraced these changes with grace and open arms. Most recently, Noah applied his subject matter expertise to re-develop the Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Specialization for Anxiety course for fully online delivery. From handing in the course outline ahead of schedule to keeping open lines of communication throughout the development process, Noah truly embodies what it means to be an excellent teammate and colleague.
Congratulations, Noah!
