OISE CPL and Norway: Learning Visits 2017

OISE CPL has worked with many visiting Principal delegations from Norway over the last 3 years.

In October, we welcomed 24 School Leaders (Principals and Department Heads) to Toronto from the Thor Heyerdahl Secondary School and their school network for a 3-day program to develop the knowledge and skills to build the capacity of secondary school Principals and provide enhanced instructional leadership.

Additional, OISE colleagues Evelyn Wilson, Pat Stelick and Judi Denison traveled to Norway to provide workshops in several counties to school leaders.  Evelyn Wilson delivered several one-day workshops which focus on deepening the knowledge and skills of Norwegian leaders responsible for education that will enable them to provide organizational structures that enhance student achievement. Pat and Judi delivered a 2-day workshop to school teams from the regions of Vestfold and Telemark which provided a foundational introduction to, and application of, inquiry-based learning.
