Mark Shelvock is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and a Certified Thanatologist through the Association for Death Education and Counselling.
Mark has taught in OISE Continuing & Professional Learning's Grief Education certificate program since its inception, and has provided thousands of people with a formalized grief and death education throughout his career. He teaches about grief and loss as they are integral aspects of life, and can teach us how truly precious life is. Mark has internationally recognized clinical expertise in the areas of attachment theory, developmental psychology, psychodynamics, and thanatology – the study of dying, death, grief, and bereavement.
Mark maintains a clinical private practice in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada which specializes in providing grief counselling and trauma responsive psychotherapy. He is also a clinical educator and a mental health author with Psychology Today; his professional online blog is titled Navigating the Serpentine Path.
