This course challenges participants to apply leadership theory to real-world educational challenges, with an emphasis on equity, instructional innovation, and organizational development.
You'll explore improvement planning processes, lead a personalized inquiry, and engage in peer collaboration and feedback while developing a professional action plan tailored to your context.
By the end of the course, you will have executed a leadership initiative and produced a reflective report and portfolio that demonstrates your capacity to lead sustainable change in a school setting.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Design and lead a school-based improvement initiative aligned with your leadership goals and school context.
- Apply leadership theories and models to real-world challenges in education, with an emphasis on equity and instructional improvement.
- Collaborate with mentors and peers to strengthen your leadership practice through feedback, reflection, and inquiry. Use data-informed decision-making to guide planning, implementation, and evaluation of your initiative.

Registration in this course requires an "Approved" application - please be sure to submit your application by the stated deadline.
Learning within the program will take the form of facilitated self-directed exploration, online discussions and virtual seminars. Fellows will be expected to engage in approximately 7-9 hours of learning activity per week for a total of 125 hours.
There will be six (6) Seminar Sessions taking place synchronously over Zoom. It is highly recommended that you attend most, if not all sessions. A preliminary draft schedule of the Seminar Session dates/times will be made available in the weeks leading up to the Fellowship start date. Please be advised that the dates/times of the Seminar Sessions may subject to change, based on facilitator & learner availability. The dates/times will be discussed once the Fellowship begins, to further align as a cohort.

Withdrawals and Refunds:
- Requests for withdrawal received before the program start date will receive a full refund
- Withdrawals requested within seven (7) days of the course start date will receive a 50% refund, less a $300 administrative fee
- Withdrawals requested seven (7) days after the course start date will not receive a refund
