Foundations of Programming for Young Children
There will be sessions on such topics as how children grow and change during the Kindergarten years, recent research into brain development and learning, the acquisition of literacy and numeracy, how classroom management and set-up affects emotional and social well-being, the skills of observing and reporting play behaviours, the importance of the family in educational preparedness, and innovative practice.

This session will run for 3 weeks intensively. Your learning will take the form of in-depth online discussions as well as group and individual assignments.
Learners will be expected to engage in approximately 42 hours of learning per week for a total of 125 hours:
- 100 hours online learning (asynchronous, but facilitator-led and paced into modules)
- 25 hours assignments and independent study
