Design Career Guidance Programs
Design practical programs to strengthen guidance and career education.
In this course, you will examine current advances, gaps, and opportunities in guidance and career education (GCE).
You will explore barriers that affect student learning and development and design strategies to support key transitions in students' personal, academic, and career journeys. The course focuses on collaboration and practical application. Learn how to work with students, families, educators, and community partners to improve guidance and career education in your setting. Taking an asset-based and culturally responsive approach, you will design solutions that fit your professional context and the communities you serve. By the end of the course, you will have a set of practical strategies ready to use to improve GCE in your school or setting.
Course Format
This course is fully online and asynchronous, with optional synchronous sessions. It is facilitator-led and organized into modules with specific assignment due dates to support your progress.
Program Progression
This is course 2 of 3 in the Career Guidance and Counselling Certificate. You will receive a digital Certificate of Completion once all three courses have been completed successfully.

Grading: Complete/Incomplete. No numerical or letter grade is assigned.
