Advancing Sustainable Development Goals in Higher Education
Discover the mechanisms for an in-depth exploration into implementing elements of SDG 4 (Quality Education) into your professional context.
Through a flexible and supportive inquiry-oriented environment, Fellows will be challenged to pursue a self-designated project that will establish a comprehensive foundation for concrete action.
Learning Outcomes
- Identify and discuss the research and global context that inform SDGs
- Explore and discuss SDGs and especially SDG 4: Quality Education
- Examine how SDGs intersect with other frameworks such as EDI, global competencies, internationalization, and lifelong learning
- Reflect on challenges facing the implementation of SDGs and how to mitigate those challenges
- Acquire new skills and strategies to effectively implement SDGs in teaching and learning, research, or engagement
- Explore creative and innovative approaches to operationalize SDGs in your area of work or interest
- Establish a network of connections to other experts operationalizing SDGs in Higher Education
- Demonstrate Educational Leadership Skills
Prerequisites
This Fellowship is open to experienced professionals with a minimum of 5-7 years of progressive work experience. This refers to experience that demonstrates growth and/or advancement in complexity, difficulty, or level of responsibility.
Applicants should be actively engaged in a leadership role (which may include managing projects and influencing or implementing organizational improvements) with an interest in pursuing an in-depth, learner-driven inquiry.
